His letter said he would “seek employment elsewhere.” The resignation comes a day after the municipal elections.

  • Tuesday, March 1, 1966 — A resident of Ribera, who is the father of four small children, two of them in school at Ribera, complained today because of the schools being closed in his area to “allow teachers to play politics in West Las Vegas.” The schools were closed in West Las Vegas, Ribera, San Jose, Bernal and Villanueva. “The people of our community have nothing to do with West Las Vegas elections, and why should we have to keep our children from school to accommodate the School Board?” asked the resident.
