  • What a fun time this is for me? Joseph A. Lordi’s brand new book, “Las Vegas New Mexico” became available here in Las Vegas at about the time I celebrated my recent birthday. Thank you, friends and family for the gift cards, and yes, I have a copy of this incredible book.

It will take me a long time to devour it. This is not just another traveling log or history book about this area. It is a big book in many ways! It weights about 6 pounds and has 416 pages of photographs and text.

  • I continue to be amazed at how quickly time flies, the older one gets. And even with this seemingly rapid passage of time, I do always take time to stop and smell the roses, as they say.

So! One thing leads to another and after being reminded that it is time to get a flu shot (among other things), I elected to take the morning off and visit my favorite county seat, Mora for more than one reason. I wanted to vote early, and I needed to renew my driver’s license. That means I visited our Mora County Courthouse. And no, sadly, it is not a courthouse.
