  • Tuesday, July 12, 1966 — (Optic editorial) The decision by the Board of Regents of New Mexico Highlands University to rename the Arts and Education Building in honor of Dr. Quincy Guy Burris is high but earned  tribute to a man who has spent 28 years with the school. Dr. Burris has been instrumental in the continued growth in quantity and quality at the university. It is fitting that such a building be named after such a man.
