    Twenty-five years ago, more than 600,000 service members took part in Operation Desert Storm, at the time the largest deployment of U.S. Armed Forces since Vietnam. Kenneth “Kenny”Luján, then a Specialist E-4 from Ojitos Frios was one who served.

    On Monday, Luján will march among more than 500 Gulf War veterans in the American Veterans Center’s National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.

According to figures of the Federal Aviation Agency at the airport, there has been but .62 of an inch of precipitation since Jan. 1. This is compared with 1.36 inches for the first four months of 1964, 1.29 inches in 1963.
