The theme will be “Celebrating Native American Culture.” The book will be “Brother Bear: Bear With Me” by Ann Rhiannon. The craft will be a beaded corn magnet. All programs are open to the public.

    • A haunted house is set for 4-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, and Saturday, Oct. 30, and 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at Highlands University’s Hewett Hall on National Avenue between 11th and 12th streets. Admission is $3. Organizers said it will be child safe and family friendly.

    • The Kenya Safari Acrobats will perform at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Highlands University’s Ilfeld Auditorium. The Kenya Safari Acrobats, who perform across the country, include death-defying stunts, comedy, audience participation, and heart-pounding music to create a production that will have all ages on the edge of their seats. General admission tickets are $5, Highlands faculty and staff tickets are $3, and Highlands students with a valid HU ID get in free.
