    • Jesus “Jesse” Griego building dedication, 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the West Las Vegas Valley gymnasium in Ribera, N.M. A West Las Vegas High School graduate, Griego died in Vietnam and was a native of the Valley area.

    • The Las Vegas Municipal Court will be closed from Sept.13 to Sept. 16 so employees may attend a Justice Systems Conference out of town. If you have any questions you may contact any of our court staff at 425-9403.

    • The Miss Las Vegas Scholarship Organization is sponsoring the 10th Annual Little Miss Las Vegas Pageant on Sunday, Oct. 2 at West Las Vegas High School. The competition is open to girls ages 6 to 12. Phases of competition are talent, casual wear, on-stage question and party/formal wear. Entry forms may be picked up at the Las Vegas-San Miguel Chamber of Commerce or the Abe Montoya Recreation Center. Entry deadline is Friday, Sept. 2. No entry fee required.
