    • Community Health Fair starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 6 at the Student Union Building on the Highlands campus. The fair is part of National Public Health Week activities. Exhibitors include national and local health service providers and organizations including United World College, American Red Cross and others. The public is encouraged to attend. Space still available for exhibitors. There will be free giveaways.
    • The Las Vegas Optic office will close at noon on Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday.

    • To celebrate the re-opening of the Dwan Light Sanctuary UWC-USA will present a musical program featuring UWC-USA Music Director Ron Maltais and second-year student Kailash Pandey of Nepal, who will play his tablah. The program will take place at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at Dwan Light Sanctuary on the UWC-USA campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

    • Luna Community College’s main campus in Las Vegas will be closed on Friday, March 27 due to a water system upgrade the city of Las Vegas will be doing. Online classes will still take place as scheduled on Friday. The main campus will re-open on Saturday, March 28 for regular scheduled classes and events. The Santa Rosa and Springer Satellites and the Mora Site will remain open as scheduled on Friday.
