    HOPE (Housing Opportunities Programs for Elders) will launch its transportation services for 55-and-older at the Senior Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. HOPE is a new non-profit organization to assist seniors to “age in their homes”.     The AAUW Fall Used Book Sale will take place at the Sala de Madrid, on the Highlands University campus, at the corner of Eighth and University, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Many types of books,as well as CDs and DVDs, will be available. All children’s books are free. Funds raised support educational activities and NMHU women’s scholarships.

    6 p.m. The New Mexico History Museum will present a public overview of the “Turn On, Tune In” storytelling project in the NMHU Student Union Building, Room 322. The project intends to shine a light on the 1960s and 1970s counterculture’s relevance and how it might activate and inspire people today.
