    The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1063 will hold its Fourth Annual Golf Tournament at Gene Torres Golf Course. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. with a tee time of 9 a.m. Entry fee is $100 per person. Funds raised will be used to support the group’s tri-county scholarship program and the honor guard for funeral trips around the area.     The San Miguel/Mora County Fair will take place until to Saturday, Aug. 13 at the fairgrounds located just north of Las Vegas. Friday’s events start at 8 a.m. with a pig show followed by goats, lambs, steers and heifers. A horse show is scheduled for 4 p.m. followed by a watermelon-eating contest at 6 p.m. and wrapping up Saturday’s events is a branding iron social at 7 p.m. There is no charge to attend the fair on Friday.
