Mora County

  • Where the bad bugs find their targets

And now Gascon Point has a dusting of snow, which will probably be gone in a day or two, and thankfully there are no “vote for me” election ads in the various media outlets. This includes radio, television, and newspapers, plus signs in some really strange places. Many of us voted early, and no, none of use voted often as some might surmise. And I do continue to remind my family and friends of the importance of voting. Just visit a foreign country for a week or two and one will understand. Voting is a privilege.

Well, what do you know? I have a granddaughter who likes old things and family history. Yes, Jennifer flew in (she’s the helicopter pilot in this family) and joined our family for my 80th birthday party recently. • Palabras Pintorescas: October: The ‘fall behind’ month

October seems to be my “fall behind” month, an not just because it is fall. My house is suffering through an invasion once again. Yes, it is a good invasion however.

My cousin Yolanda spent several days here with me last month, and I welcomed her and her knowledge and interest in anything that grows, blooms or is green.
