We ain’t got no semáforos (traffic lights) in old town. Have you noticed? Certain taxpayers in certain areas of our town don’t get services. Like Rodney Dangerfield, our representatives do not get listened to — even when they provide sound advice and judgement to the rest of our city fathers.
We ain’t got no semáforos in old town. Maybe we don’t need them, because we are more agile, more alert, due to our traditional lifestyle and horizontal social interplay with our fellow old town inhabitants and natural surroundings. After all, you don’t hear of too many more accidents in old town. Think of the savings we’ve received by denying services to our fellow citizens on the other side of the Gallinas frontera.
But seriously folks, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And you expect me to favor another consolidation?
