Ending their visitors’ four-game winning streak, the Colorado State-Pueblo ThunderWolves softball team swept a Saturday twinbill against New Mexico Highlands.
The Cowgirls dropped to 15-24-1 overall and 7-17-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as of Saturday night. The teams were to play another doubleheader on Sunday.
CSUP (21-9, 18-7) did most of its damage in the third inning of game one, when Carlie Lucas rocked a grand slam to left field, turning a modest 2-0 score into a 6-0 wall.
