WLV yearbook recognized in Gallery of Excellence

West Las Vegas High School yearbook staff was recently recognized for its 2008 yearbook into Walsworth Publishing Company’s Gallery of Excellence.

The Gallery of Excellence is a showcase of the best yearbooks published by Walsworth. A small percentage of yearbooks are selected for the Gallery each year. The yearbooks are shown and loaned as examples of quality publications and as idea generators. WLVHS yearbook was chosen to feature pages out of its yearbook as illustrations in Walsworth’s Educational Advantage resource materials. The WLVHS yearbook will ignite the creativity in other yearbook staffs throughout the country.

Members of the yearbook class include Kathleen Trujillo, Anthony Madrid, Ryan Lucero, Spencer Parson, Steven Mathis, Geneva Rivera, Kayla Silva, Melissa Sena, Leon Bustos, Amanda Crespin, Michael Baca, Jessiel Hernandez, Daniel Sanchez, Liz Herrera, Erica Moberg, Chantelle Montoya, Tara Medina, Jamie Mathis, Cassandra Coca and Jonas Romero.

The editors are Charise Romero and Krystle Tapia and the class is instructed by Etta Bustos.

Bustos said, “The induction of our yearbook honors my staff’s dedication and hard work. I am very proud of their accomplishments and on this tremendous achievement.”

Several area businesses made an investment for their dollar, advertising in the yearbook.
