The Republican leadership wants the freedom not to tax the wealthy in such a fashion that they would contribute their fair share. They want the freedom for the rich to grow richer and the rest of us to grow poorer.
The Republicans admit that they want to make big cuts to Medicaid, food stamps and other programs. The Republicans would not raise taxes on the rich.
Where is the compassion? They do not see this as a moral issue. My God does not allow me to worship money.
