Fifteen Highlands University students were relocated to the Days Inn hotel Tuesday night because of a water line break at the new student residence center.
The leak was initially thought to have been an act of vandalism, but Highlands police
have since determined that it was actually horseplay that led to the pipe being broken, Highlands spokesman Sean Weaver said. He said no criminal charges will be filed because they didn’t intend to break the line. He said the matter is, however, being forwarded to the Dean of Students Office for possible disciplinary action.
