I am still reeling from Richard Baca’s acquittal. The prosecution asked the jury if three bullets for three punches was fair, and the jury said “yes.”
Perhaps it was justifiable self-defense; but as Mr. Baca himself testified, as a soldier he is trained to use non-lethal methods before lethal force.
His training seems to have failed. It makes one wonder about the training methods of our military services, and if this war has not turned our sons into indiscriminate killing machines.
