Walmart should be responsible

I am glad to see the city take the realistic step of canceling the fireworks show this year, due to fire danger.

And I’m glad to hear (second hand) that Walmart is ceasing its sale of fireworks, as of Thursday. Better late than never!

I hope all Las Vegans, even those who consider themselves careful and responsible, will save their fireworks for next year — hoping next year is not such tinderbox conditions for accidental fires.
