After 32 years in education, longtime West Las Vegas teacher and coach Virginia Lujan has decided it is time to retire from a job she loves and respects.
Lujan, a huge Michigan Wolverines fan, taught and coached 29 years in the WLV district and three in the Española school district.
During her time as a coach at West, she was the head coach in three sports including volleyball, girls’ basketball and softball, all three sports achieving great success.
In volleyball, Lujan won 152 games including the 1995 District 2-3A runner-up spot.
