Vegas spikers double trouble for Lovington

-A A +A
By Dave Kavanaugh

The Meadow City's high school volleyball teams were rude visitors to Lovington over the weekend, dropping the host Lady Wildcats in quick succession.

After falling 25-17 in the first set, West Las Vegas won three in a row, 25-10, 27-25, 25-22.

Off to a 3-0 start, the Lady Dons encountered tough blocking from the Lady Cats and had to find other ways to crack their defense.

"(Our) hitting was 19 percent, down in this area," said coach Mary Bustos. "Lovington blocked us well."
