Vatos rugby 1-1 to start season

After winning their first game of the season 33-17 against a Albuquerque Rugby Football Club Development Side, the young Vatos moved to 1-1 with a hard-fought 45-35 loss to a strong, physical El Paso-UTEP RFC this past Saturday at Perkins Stadium.

“I was very impressed with the Vatos’ courage and toughness against a solid El Paso-UTEP team who had many experienced players from their good youth rugby program there, “ said Coach Dick Greene. “It was a very high-impact game with massive hitting and hard running.”
