Using acequia water responsibly

This letter will hopefully explain my actions over the past two years or so.  

On May 1, a Las Vegas police officer approached me while I was watering my garden and a fruit tree on my property.  The officer wanted to know if I was using filtered city water. He looked into my buckets of water to verify, since one of my fellow citizens had reported me as violating city ordinance.
