Two jailed on drug trafficking charges

The Region IV Narcotics Task Force arrested and charged two area residents with drug trafficking in recent days after conducting search warrants.

Lucille Martinez, 56, was arrested on Jan. 24 after a search warrant was conducted at her home on the 1500 block of Romero Street.

She is charged with trafficking crack cocaine, a second-degree felony, and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

Police say several people were at the home at the time the warrant was executed.
