DURANGO, Colo. — Watching its losing skid hit six, the NMHU women’s basketball team struggled on the road in a 78-58 setback Friday at Fort Lewis.
Highlands, led by coach Tiffany Darling, fell to a 3-6 record in the RMAC and 3-10 in overall play. FLC is 6-6, 5-3.
Twenty-seven turnovers hampered the Cowgirl effort.
The Cowgirls took the initial 4-0 lead, but the Skyhawks quickly regrouped and began to take control of the game. Fort Lewis went on a 7-0 run and looked to have found a good rhythm early.
