Loyalty? Hmmm! Is there such a thing as loyalty in professional sports today? But what is loyalty then as compared to now? Let’s examine this thought by discussing the then and now.
Back THEN, shall we say in the ‘50s to ’90s, loyalty meant a person who played with the same team throughout his or her career. NOW loyalty has a different term, meaning money or a person who is loyal to the team he or she is with today, gone tomorrow. Loyalty also rears its head in other ways, as we will examine.
