We served and we were deployed all over the world and prisoners of war in concentration camps.

We were trained to deal with (being) POWs. Yes, it was covered as part of your basic training, and it went beyond just saying your name rank and serial number. You were taught, you’re trained, to maintain pride and dignity and respect for your country. You’re an American soldier; never sell yourself short; always be tough.
