Torres takes women's golf tourney

Dodie Torres wrapped up a strong September with a victory in the Las Vegas Women’s Golf Association mini-tournament Sept. 30 in town.

Torres also had the most birdies among the association players in September, reported Judy Long.  

The honor for fewest putts in September play went to Merlyn Gonzales, and Marie Montoya won the non-golfers prize at the association’s monthly luncheon, also held Sept. 30.  Long described it as “a windy but fun day.”
