Give me a break! A welcoming gateway arch at University Avenue and Fifth Street? That’s akin to putting a pearl necklace on a pig! It will take a lot more than $100,000 in landscaping, banners and informational signs to mask the unsightly convenience store, used car lot, discount gas station and vacant lot at that intersection!
Of course the conceptual drawings look beautiful. The architect wouldn’t get paid if they didn’t look good! It’s a far cry from an artist’s rendering to what will probably be built.
