A recent report shows that Public Service Company of New Mexico is enjoying some strong earnings these days, thanks in large part to the higher retail rates it’s charging its customers. Meanwhile, another report, by five nonprofit citizen groups, took a look at PNM’s revenues, profits and expenditures from 2008 to 2012 and found that the utility increased its compensation to executives while increasing its rates on its customers — during tough times to boot.
