Victoria Gomez of Robertson High has been selected as Rotary Student of the Month. Daughter of Placido and Maxine Gomez of Las Vegas, Victoria recently completed her junior year at Robertson.

At Robertson, Victoria maintains a 4.0 GPA and is active in Key Club, National Honor Society, MESA, and on the school tennis team. She also participated in the Supercomputing Challenge and works part-time at Paul D. Henry Elementary as part of the 21st Century Program.

She is currently undecided about where to attend college but wants to study environmental science and biology. Following that, Victoria wants a career that focuses on math and science, possibly in the field of renewable energy.   
Marcos Mondragon of Mora High School has been named Elk Student of the Month. Marcos, a senior at Mora High, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mondragon of Monday.

Marcos has participated in Business Professionals of America, MESA, student government, honor roll, the gifted program, yearbook committee, Big Brothers Big Sisters and National Honor Society.

Scholastically, he has a 4.0 GPA, which he has maintained throughout his entire time at Mora High. Marcos graduated this spring as the valedictorian of his class. He has also already been taking dual credit courses through UNM Taos, CNM, and LCC.

He plans to study biology in college and would like a career in the field of biology, as well.   

Victoria Juaregui, daughter of Manuel and Lilly Juaregui of Sapello, has been awarded Elk Student of the Month honors at Robertson High. She will be a senior this upcoming fall.    

Victoria participates in FFA, Dream Makers, Key Club, student council, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Pals, Books for Bikes, Explorers Club, National Honor Society and MESA. She is also a member of the ski club and has a 4.0 GPA.

After graduating from Robertson, Victoria plans to attend New Mexico State University. There she will study chemistry and health and after that she really would like to become a doctor or a nurse.

Sean Michael Luján of Robertson High has been named Rotary Student of the Month. Sean, son of Michael and Kathy Luján of Las Vegas, graduated this spring with a 4.0 GPA.

In his time at Robertson, Sean participated in MESA, National Honor Society, student council and key club. He was also a member of the soccer and track teams and played in the school mariachi band.

This fall Sean will be attending the University of New Mexico, where he plans to study either health sciences or engineering. He is undecided about a future career but would like to find a job where he can travel and experience different places and cultures.
