State tourney caps wrestling season

Highlights of the Class 1A-3A state wrestling tournament held this past weekend in Rio Rancho:

106 lbs.) Toby Apodaca, Robertson, third place; finished 31-10; went 4-1 at state with two pins and overtime decision vs. Geno Palermo of St. Michael’s.
Anthony Armijo, West Las Vegas, finished 4-19 as a freshman, lost two at state
Nathaniel Ortiz, Pecos, went 1-2 and finished 21-15 as an eighth grader
