SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez’s administration is proposing to overhaul the Medicaid program but there will be no changes in who’s eligible to receive medical services and no cuts in rates paid to health care providers.
Human Services Secretary Sidonie Squier on Tuesday outlined the proposed revisions, which will require federal government approval.
One of the goals is to slow the rate of growth in the program, which accounts for 16 percent of the state budget.
