A number of Las Vegas-area athletes have been recognized with their selection to all-district, all-state and North-South All-Star teams for baseball and softball.

The North-South All-Star baseball game will be played June 10-11 in Socorro. Selection to the North-South teams is limited to top players from that year’s graduating high school class.

Aragon, a Dons pitcher and fielder, and Archibeque, an infielder, also were named to the All-District 2-3A team released this past week.

Robertson’s Antonio Arguello, Luke Aragon and Ryan Tafoya represent the district runner-up Cardinals on the all-district lineup.

Also announced this past week, Mora pitcher Aubrey Rubin, third baseman Brianna Abeyta, shortstop D.J. Chavez and left fielder Alex Nieto-Medina joined Pecos second baseman Vivian Valencia, shortstop Miranda Gonzales and right fielder Ida Valencia on the all-state softball team.
