Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in finding the spear that was taken from a carved statue on Plaza Park and those responsible for its theft.

The carving, which was completed shortly before the Fiestas, originally portrayed a warrior holding a spear high above his head. But on Thursday morning police were notified that the spear had been taken.

Surveillance cameras around Plaza Park apparently didn’t capture the theft.

Investigator Steve Pacheco asks that anyone with information on the theft contact him at the Las Vegas Police Department, 426-3164.
