Southwest Capital Bank was selected as a recipient of the 2012 VIVA Award. VIVA stands for vision, investment, vitality, and action. Each year the awards program recognizes New Mexico businesses that demonstrate their unique vision or corporate philosophy, their investment  in company employees and the surrounding community, their vitality through the organization’s growth or financial strength, and their action to make New Mexico a better place to live.

Southwest Capital Bank was selected by a group of business people from across the state.

Southwest Capital Bank was recognized for its involvement in the community including its recent donations to Highlands University, the decades long involvement of its officers and employees in local organizations and non-profits, and its generous donations made annually to over 100 local organizations. Locally owned and operated for over 120 years, Southwest Capital Bank has remained financially strong and committed to the communities it serves.

Southwest Capital Bank was presented the award by the Association of Commerce and Industry at the 2012 Annual VIVA Awards Luncheon on Nov. 13.
