I attended the first public input meeting for the proposed “Gateway” plan, and Tim Dodge did a great job explaining the plans and allowing for public comment. He claims that the comments will be taken into consideration in pulling together the final plan.
So far, so good. I will be attending the second meeting as well. But considering the plan involves public money, no section of the population or no special interest should get 100 percent of what it wants on this project. If they do, then I guess you have a large part of the answer to your “Why the apathy in Las Vegas?” question.
