ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — Tony Snell hit a 3-pointer with 1.8 seconds left, giving New Mexico a 70-69, come-from-behind victory over George Mason in the Paradise Jam on Sunday.
George Mason went ahead, 69-64, on a pair of free throws with 17.7 seconds left. But Kendall Williams hit a 3-pointer with 11.9 seconds remaining, and then stole the inbounds pass. The ball wound up in the hands of Snell, who made the game-winner from the left wing. It marked the Lobos’ only lead of the second half.
