Sipapu reports 14-inch snowfall

VADITO, N.M. — New Mexico’s first winter storm pounded Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort with a reported 14 inches of snow Sunday, and resort officials announced it is opening new terrain beginning this past Monday.
Sipapu is open every day, and staff members are preparing for record-breaking attendance since it will be the only ski area open in New Mexico through Wednesday, said general manager John Paul Bradley.
