Silver Gloves coming

Many of the state’s amateur boxing hopefuls will be showcased in a tournament coming to the Meadow City next week.

The New Mexico State Silver Gloves is scheduled to be hosted Friday through Sunday, Dec. 7-9, at Crespin’s Boxing Gym.

Weigh-ins are set from 8 to 10 a.m. that Friday and Saturday. Matches will be made immediately following, and physicals will be performed at 4 p.m.

First bout each day is 6 p.m.

Admission is $12 general and $8 students. Children under 5 will be admitted free of charge.
