ALAMOSA, Colo. — Highlands’ women’s basketball team wrapped up a tough RMAC road trip with a 77-70 loss to the Grizzlies of Adams State on Saturday.
The Cowgirls, led by head coach Tiffany Darling, fell to a 3-7 record in the RMAC and 3-11 in overall play.
The game at Plachy Hall followed a familiar pattern, as the injury-ravaged Cowgirls gave up an early lead and played from behind for the majority of the game.
Adams State took control of the contest five minutes into the first half and ran out to an 11-point lead (19-8) with 11:11 left in the half.
