I’m writing this letter to share with you the great admiration I have for our City of Las Vegas firefighters, and the volunteer firefighters as well. Two weeks ago we went to the Las Vegas Fire Station with a group of United World College students who are interning with us at the Las Vegas Peace & Justice Center.
I was so impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We toured the office and dormitories, and then got to see the fire trucks and other equipment they use to save lives.
