Rough Riders win sixth straight, a program record

Andrew Arellanes' double to right center in the bottom of the ninth enabled Marcos Griego to score from second base Monday, lifting Luna Community College to a walk-off 10-9 victory over Wayland Baptist's junior varsity.

The extra-inning drama, followed by a considerably less dramatic 16-2 rout, helped Luna complete a four-game sweep of the Pioneers. Coach Peter Ortiz’s Rough Riders (15-24-1) have won six in a row, the program's longest win streak in its short history.
