Isaiah Dominguez gave the Luna Community College Rough Riders all the insurance they could have asked for on Monday afternoon.
The Las Cruces freshman smashed a three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring Manuel Chavez, Ricardo Taddy and himself to increase Luna’s lead to 8-3.
Then Rough Rider pitcher Eric Jaramillo and the defense held up in the top of the seventh to preserve the victory over visiting Dodge City Community College.
Earlier, Dodge City won the doubleheader's first game 13-2.
