Rotary 2008 golf tourney Saturday

The Las Vegas Rotary Club is hosting its annual Golf Classic on Saturday at Pendaries Golf Course in Rociada.

The event, a fundraiser benefit for several charitable organizations and scholarships, begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Golfers are also invited to a pre-event reception beginning 6 p.m. Friday at the resort.

Format for the 2008 Golf Classic is a four-person team scramble; only one player per team is allowed to have a handicap of nine or less, and the combined handicap must exceed 50.
