President Obama conveyed a sense of decency even greater than I already had for him, by not attacking Gov. Romney in the debates on several obvious points, presumably because he didn’t want to appear whiney or wimpy. For example:
1. Governor Romney crows about bringing people together, in a bipartisan way. But as governor of Massachusetts, he did not have to deal with a legislature openly committed to blocking him and bringing him down, as Obama has. He also had more than 800 vetoes!
