Romero crowned Little Miss Las Vegas

The Miss Las Vegas Scholarship Organization held its 11th annual Little Miss Las Vegas Pageant last month at West Las Vegas High School.  Six beautiful and talented little girls competed for the title in four phases of competition: talent, casual wear, party wear and on-stage question.

Samantha Romero, 10, was crowned Little Miss Las Vegas 2012.  She performed a dance to Conga by Gloria Estefan for her talent. She is in the fourth grade at Don Cecilio Elementary. She is the daughter of Adam and Shannon Saiz and Marcus Romero and Miriam Rodriguez.

Kiara Gilford, 9, was crowned Little Miss Photogenic 2012. She won the title for raising the most money in the photogenic competition.

She is in the third grade at Sierra Vista Elementary. She is the daughter of Derick Gilford and Daisy Graston-Gilford.

Winning the title of Candid Princesses were Sarai Yara, Samantha Romero, Magdalena Lujan, Diane DaNielle Salazar-Maldonado and Ronda Padilla.

Yara won the audience vote in the costume contest with her bumblebee costume.

Gabrielle Torres, Miss Las Vegas’ Outstanding Teen, was the mistress of ceremonies. Entertainment was provided by Krysten Romero, Little Miss Las Vegas 2011, Savannah Lujan, Miss San Miguel County 2012, Kayla Gonzales, Miss Las Vegas 2012 and DeAnna Jerge, Miss San Miguel County 2012.
