New Mexico Highlands will be the seventh seed in this week’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Shootout and will play at Adams State, the two seed, 7 p.m. Tuesday in Alamosa, Colo.
ASU is 19-7, 16-6.
Joe Harge’s Cowboys (13-13, 11-11) punctuated the regular season Saturday with a 70-67 win at Western New Mexico.
Mannie Cass and Lavell McDade scored 19 apiece in that win.
Also Saturday, the NMHU women closed with a 70-67 defeat at WNMU. The Cowgirls, who got 15 points from Alyssa Lopez and 13 from Cwynnci Lobaugh, finish 4-22, 4-18.
