Rialto cited for liquor violations

Two El Rialto Restaurant and Lounge employees are facing criminal charges for serving alcohol to minors, and the restaurant itself is also in hot water over the incident, according to documents filed in San Miguel County Magistrate Court earlier this month.

The cases stem from an undercover alcohol compliance operation executed by the state Department of Public Safety’s Special Investigations Division on the evening of Jan. 25.

DPS agents sent a 20-year-old man into El Rialto to see if they’d serve him.
