Marka Garcia’s two-run triple was a walk-off winner for the Robertson softball team Wednesday against Santa Fe Indian. The 17-6 mercy-rule win gave the Lady Cardinals a split of their home finale doubleheader.

SFIS won the first game 12-8.

Robertson closes the regular season Saturday at West Las Vegas.

In Wednesday’s opener, RHS rallied from a 10-5 hole on the strength of Brandy Garcia’s three-run double in the fifth inning. But an infield error helped the Lady Braves score twice in the seventh, and the home team was unable to answer.

SFIS kept its sticks going in the start of game two, scoring four in its first at-bat. But RHS responded with a five-run first.

Montanna Martinez and Marka Garcia hit back-to-back RBI doubles in the third to make it 7-4. Elena Armijo and Brandy Garcia drove in two more runs in the next frame. Ashley Jaramillo and Jessica Encinias added RBI doubles in the fifth as RHS raced to a 12-6 lead.

Jaramillo earned the pitching win.
