RHS girls third in state golf

A strong day two for Robertson's girls' golf team propelled the Lady Cardinals to third place in the final standings Tuesday at the state tournament.

It's the second year in a row that the Lady Cardinals have placed at state.

Jayme Quintana shot a 93 on day two for a total of 184, jumping from a tie for ninth place to sixth. She edged Brittani Webb of Socorro by one stroke to make the top six.

Shannon Lopez matched her Monday score of 104 for a two-day total of 208, good for 12th place.
