It’s homecoming time at Robertson High School with the big game scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Cardinal Stadium as the Cardinals take on the Warriors from Ruidoso.

At a pep rally on Thursday, students got a chance to laugh and have fun watching and taking part in skits, dance-offs, charades, an obstacle course and scavenger hunt.

Of course, a pep rally wouldn’t be complete without cheerleaders cheering, the dance team dancing and the Red Wave band playing the school fight song.

Co-president Chiyanne Williams (along with Marin Schweigert) and members of the student council put the rally together.

“We met every Tuesday and made decisions as a group. It was fun,” Williams said.

Vice principal Eddie King said, “They absolutely had a lot of fun as we try to create a positive atmosphere and a new culture, and I think it worked today.”

Student council members Samantha Marshall and Christian Lucero acted as masters of ceremony.

“The pep rally went really well because all the classes got involved. Everything really pepped up for the football team,” Marshall said.
