Dec. 10 is marked around the world as Human Rights Day. It is the day when, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed in San Francisco, establishing for the first time a general acceptance that human rights are universal, that they belong to everyone no matter the nationality, color, sex, religion, or the system of government under which people live.
There are no exceptions.
